(South Lyon, MI) – Pumpkinfest, a beloved tradition of South Lyon citizens
since 1984, will be held downtown in the city on the last weekend of
September, 28th to the 29th.

“We’re so excited to continue this tradition,” says Pumpkinfest Board
president Kathy Swan, “This was part of my childhood, and we’re all
dedicated to making it a part of other’s, too.”

The event is being put on by the volunteer Pumpkinfest board and
committee. It includes an art contest, pie contest, games, a Saturday
evening parade and more. Sunday, the winners of the annual scarecrow
contest will be chosen. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite, or to sample
some of the vendors and local eateries!

Pumpkinfest will be held Saturday, September 28th from 10 a.m. to
7 p.m., and Sunday, September 29th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. More
